Music monday!

This song is about life. Not really love but it can be said so. It just shows that life does carry on even if everything doesn't go your way. Tae-yang a Korean native does know English too and has the same problems that Americans do also. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it because it shows the reality of life and how friends can become your enemy in some ways. He's always liked this girl and they were friends. He didn't want to make a move because he was afraid that it would make her stress and they would lose their relationship. So he just stood back for a while and finally he couldn't take it and one day he was going to ask her to marry him but his acquaintance literally got in front of him and asked her and she said yes. This song is about that and how he'll always be there for her even if it kills him to see her in that wedding dress. :)

Project

1. i liked not being my self. It was cool trying to be another character.
2.My least part had to be filming...my arms hurt and i want sure where to put my people at and i don't know.
3.I think maybe we should have shorter more active scenes. and maybe actuall puppets to where we can do what the script says.

Art Critique!

1.       DESCRIBE: What do you see?
I see a depressing photo. It has suicide written all over it.

2.        ANALYZE:  How is the work composed (use art terms! Ex: value, shape, line, texture, color)
There’s a painting on the plain grey walls, and I see a brown cabinet. Along with red sheet which must be the victim’s blood. The ground looks rough like its tile but the room could be a jail cell.

3.        INTERPRET:  What message does the artwork communicate to you? (What is going on?  What was the artist trying to tell the world?  What is the overall mood?  Is it making fun?  Is it serious?) The mood of this is somber and suspicious. It makes me think what happened, why has this person decided to take their life, or did they take their life. Was it a set up? The world is a crazy place and each second is not guaranteed.

4.        JUDGE:  What do you think of this work?  Is it successful?  (The “couch test” question):
This work portrays a strong message to me. In the category of death and mystery but I could not want it on my wall. I like happy things and this somber painting wouldn’t match my style.

Spring break

My spring break was very busy. There was always something for me to do. Rather it was watching kids or cleaning or riding my bike. I never was bored. I was sad when at first it was chilly but then it became quickly hot! And I wanted the weather to be instantly sixty five degrees or so. But sadly I was disappointed with a rise of eighty degrees. The whole spring break it was eighty degrees or more. Then when the sun went down we got blessed with a little break of coolness. I burned at parks. I did spend most of my break at parks and working out. I also did a lot of work for the lord AMEN ha-ha. I can’t say much about this on the web if you are seriously interested and want to know more email me or face book me ha-ha. I doubt you really are but it was a nice break. It was nice to get refreshed and have some personal time to reflect and hang out in the sun. J

Art Criticism

1. DESCRIBE: What do you see?
I see a big thing maybe a person eating another person. The person looks like a woman.
2. ANALYZE: How is the work composed (use art terms! Ex: value, shape, line, texture, color)
The color brings out pain and suspicion. The texture is smooth and rough at the same time and the only thing you can see is the main idea.
3. INTERPRET: What message does the artwork communicate to you? (What is going on? What was the artist trying to tell the world? What is the overall mood? Is it making fun? Is it serious?) It seems angry and mad and cannibalism. It seems like it’s trying to portray the time period in which these people lived in which is romanticism.
4. JUDGE: What do you think of this work? Is it successful? (The “couch test” question):
I will not put this on my wall. It’s very disturbing.

second picture
1.       DESCRIBE: What do you see?
I see an unconscious guy who seems like he was writing. He was in the middle of something important it seems.
2.       ANALYZE: How is the work composed
The color looks bright. Also he is slouched in the tub so curvy lines.
3.       INTERPRET: What message does the artwork communicate to you? (What is going on? What was the artist trying to tell the world? What is the overall mood? Is it making fun? Is it serious?
It seems like he got murdered. And the message seems solemn but unexpected.
4.        JUDGE: What do you think of this work? Is it successful? (The “couch test” question):
It does seem brighter but I don’t think I’ll put it in my house. It’s not really my style.

Neoclassism vs Romanticism

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

I think I like Neoclassicism a little more because it seems more of my style. It seems like a revival that all periods of time go through. And since Neoclassicism was a sort of rebirth I liked that period of time. Everything was brighter and happier, more sure of themselves. Contrast to Romanticism, which portrayed darkness and turmoil. They tried to stick to so many rules that people wasn't even sure if they were right and they were confused, and lost and it was shown through these paintings. The music I chose was the fifth symphony by Beethoven. This music was symbolically literate to my slide show and paintings that were chosen. It was very dramatic and calm at the same time which really flowed with my paintings.

Title:Modern Era of art

This term Modern Era referrers to the present century. This period ranges from the year 1900 to the present time. Some of the music produced uses some repetitive features of the music of the romantic era, but most of the music produced has been through a type of restructuring. The music is very different from the music produced during the earlier periods. Composers of this time don’t try to keep up with trends. The music composed during this period is more vague and clear is not really defined to them. It does not follow a particular theme or pattern as we see today.

Self portrait

I was thinking dang i can't draw but i'll give this my best shot. Even though i'm not an artists, not even close I can still make this into something. You probably actually don't need to know all that i was thinking....but that's pretty much all it was. I was thinking about how to draw my eyes, cause their real slanted then i was thinking about the lines for my head also, and that's about it. I made myself with a really big head and i don't really like it but it's going to stay that way, i don't have time to change anything. The reason why people don't want to show it, is because probably it's personal, it's like writing about yourself on a piece of paper and your deepest thoughts and showing everyone, i think that's why people don't want to show it

Extended Weekend

Well i always listento music and watch dance videos so i guess tat's only how it has affected me. To give me something to do. I found new korean groups, named big bang, and others they are really good. They actually speak alot of english. I watched alot of their videos and things because they dance really good and sound good and their very animated with their videos. I don't really have a interesting story to share...i just played in the snow with two of my little annoying nephews who don't appreciate anything...especially the 11 year old one he thinks everything is boring plus me so...hm that's about it.

Polyphony

Polyphony is just music arranged for different people to be apart of, like a canon or something, row row row your boat. To me it's like harmonization. This group is shinee, they are a Korean group but they sound really good and do represent polyphony really well.

PreZ

A prezi is a big clipboard of information that's like connected like a web. It's different from a power point because it more like a collage of information and a powerpoint is slide, and more stiff.
Three tips for a first time user would be
Watch the video that they have provided for you
Pay attention to what they say
And put to use what you've learned

Think fast

I was just getting done with step practice and me and my friends were walking home. They wanted to go when it was clear, but I told them we should go to the light and wait. I'm a little paranoid when it comes to pedestrians and cars and things because I have not had a good past with crossing the streets. So they agreed. And right when the little image showed up on the cross walk thing we started walking. All of the sudden when we were in the middle of Frederica street this white new car just started driving way to fast and decided to turn left and it was about to hit us, so I screamed really loud and told my friends in front of me to stop and so I backed up so they could to. They were scared so I pulled them back and luckily they didn't get hit.

Winter break

My break was at first a little slow because i wanted to chill from all the brain racking stress that finals brought. So when i got home that wednesday i decided to do my packet for a class so i wouldn't have to do it at the last minute and finally i was free. That first Saturday i saw Tron in 3D, and it was the best movie i had ever seen, well one of the best. I was glad to get away from reality and live in a game for a while. I recommend that movie to everyone, and i also saw Tangled. Which was hilarious and a good story. I recommend that movie to everyone also. I like movies that have a good story and action and teaches something. I also got a new Boogie game on wii, it's really fun you dance and sing and compete with people to get more songs and get your reputation up, me and my family had a blast with that. I also had alot of unexpected visitors that i haven't seen for a while.... it was interesting, I'll just leave it at that. And i met my new niece named Aquila, she was born on the 31st of December at like six in the morning that was an experience. My break over all was complicated and filled with drama, but what isn't in life. I still had a break from normal things so I'll try to be optimistic.
